Tips to Get Ready for School



1. Things to do the evening before school: 
  • Finish your homework. 
  • Place items which needed for school inside your backpack or school bag. 
  • Place your backpack/schoolbag by the door you normally exit through.
  • Lay out the clothes you want to wear the next day. Make sure it is already clean and well-pressed. 
  • Set out breakfast snacks to grab and eat on the way to school in case you run short of time to eat full breakfast. Some good choices are yogurt and flavoured oatmeal.


2. Get to bed on time!
  •  Try to get 8-10 hours of sleep on school nights.


3. Wake up on time.
  • Have your parents wake you up.
  • Set an alarm. Most cell phones have alarms, so if you hate the sound of your alarm clock, record some gentle music onto your phone and awake to your favourite tune. 


4. Eat a breakfast. 
  • A well-balanced and healthy breakfast so that you can stay energized all the way until lunchtime. Toast, oatmeal or cereal is quick and nutritious. If you can, you should drink milk, because its give you stronger bones and teeth. 
  • You will perform worse in school if you skip breakfast.
  • Never skip breakfast to lose weight, it will make you gain more. Breakfast gives your metabolism a boost and gives your body energy to burn more calories.


5.  Before leaving. 
  • Look at the list on white board in your room or note on your desk that you make the night before. Make sure you have everything.
  • Check yourself in a mirror before you leave.
